Celebrating success: Cahill achieves bronze-level PAR certification

DHPR Inc. congratulates Cahill for recently obtaining certification as a bronze-level PAR company through the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB). We want to highlight Cahill’s success in reaching such a great milestone with PAR.

Cahill’s journey with PAR began in 2018 and they continue to strive for excellence in Aboriginal relations.

Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) is “a certification program that confirms corporate performance in Aboriginal relations at the bronze, silver, or gold level.” This certification shows that a company is committed to working with Indigenous communities through building relationships and creating partnerships that bring training, employment, and procurement opportunities to these communities.

Fred Cahill, president and CEO, says that “earning the bronze PAR certification has provided our company with opportunities to further connect with Indigenous communities, their leaders, as well as businesses who are also committed to working towards reconciliation. The path we took to earn this certification has equipped our company with the knowledge and the tools to be more effective and efficient when working alongside Indigenous Peoples.”

New policies and procedures were welcomed company-wide and illustrate Cahill management’s commitment to positive change and growth. It demonstrates integrity with an honest and caring approach and understands the impact that projects have in the surrounding communities.

Founded by Gerard Cahill in 1953, his business grew to become one of the larger construction companies in Canada, currently known as The Cahill Group. It is an industry leader in building the future of oil and gas, mining, hydro, and social infrastructure. His son, Fred Cahill, is now owner and company president.

Cahill cares deeply about its people, partners, clients, and communities. It supports First Nations, Métis, and Inuit People nationwide and looks forward to a prosperous future ahead as it aims to achieve higher levels of PAR certification to become a leader in progressive Aboriginal relations.
